It feels so good to be back in New York!!! Miller and I have been in Alabama for Thanksgiving and a for photo shoot so I totally disappeared from blog land. Every time we take a trip home, we are either working or spending the rest of our time relaxing with family, eating, hanging out by a warm fire, and eating more. Even though I enjoy doing those things VERY much, I totally lose all blog inspiration.
Anyways, I am back – sadly, only for a few short days- and wanted to give ya’ll a quick update. I originally started this blog to keep everyone posted on mine and Miller’s personal and career journey here in New York, but I often get very sidetracked and forget to talk about that at all. Today, I found myself literally skipping around this city after a photo shoot because I am so proud of Miller and all we have accomplished so far. I even played Party Rock 3 times on repeat and made a fool of myself walking/dancing down the street. This morning, Miller shot the cover of a magazine, and I keep having to pinch myself because he is only 25 years old and shooting the cover of a magazine!!! No, it’s not one of our dream magazines, but it’s still a big deal. I have to remind myself and Miller that we have to celebrate all the little accomplishments along our way. If we don’t celebrate the small things then by the time we are shooting the cover of Time Magazine (one of our many goals), who knows how drained and burnt out we would be.
I am just overwhelmingly proud of Miller- for his talent but mostly for his hard work. I have the same amount of pride for him that I have for my brother when he scored a touchdown against (and completely abused!) Auburn or for my dad when he leads a group of people on a mission trip in Haiti or the Dominican Republic. I am so inspired by people who are doing something that they love and doing the very best that they can at it.
To sum it up…we are crazy busy, loving life, and most definitely living in New York City again next year!!! Can you believe it’s already December??? Crazy how time flies. Remember to soak it up.
