Wow, it’s been so long since I’ve blogged that it took me a while to figure out my password. We have been at home in Alabama for the last three weeks, and I have been in total family/relaxation mode so this blog has been the last thing on my mind. One of my many goals this year is to be a little more consistent with my updates…we shall see how that goes!
Tomorrow we head back to New York, and I’m so excited about going back that I have butterflies in my stomach! I can not tell you how blessed I feel to be going back to a home/job/friends/city that I love so much. This week, I have been doing a lot of thinking about the past year that Miller and I had together in New York. I am just so thankful for the year we have had and honestly still kind of in awe over how our career has developed in the last 12 months.
Miller and I looked back over a list of goals we made less than two years ago, and one of the goals was simply “to shoot for a magazine in New York City.” Looking back on that simple goal today and seeing how much we have grown in the last year blows me away! I am SO grateful we took the leap of faith and moved to New York City. I encourage anyone who is not satisfied with where you are right now to do something about it. I know that’s way easier said than done, but we all have the power to make choices that will bring happiness! My friends and I have a motto that we always say to each other: YES and NOW. Interpret that how you want…For me, it’s saying yes to new experiences, not waiting around for things to happen but making them happen, and when opportunities arise…jump on ‘em!
