I recently blogged about Reagan Breinholt in my “Five With a Hairdresser on Fire” post, but I wanted to share a little more about her and her family. Miller was commissioned by Reader’s Digest to photograph Reagan, her husband Jake, and their too cool for school little girl Piper Jane, for this month’s issue. The main purpose of the story was to give a little glimpse into the life they share with their daughter, who has something called Cerebro Costo Mandibular Syndrome…I am not sure what this is or means, but I do know (or think) that she is four years old and since being born, she has never been able to leave the hospital. It’s extremely sad that Piper Jane can’t go home and share the life that her parents have in NYC- she lives in Blythedale Children’s Hospital which is about an hour outside of the city- but watching the three of them together and seeing Reagan and Jake’s positive outlook on life is so humbling. They are the coolest people in New York City!
I feel like I did a terrible job at introducing them and saying what I wanted to say…sooo you are going to want to check out Reagan’s Blob to learn more about what they are up to. The blog is so entertaining, real, and fun.
Being into photography allows us to meet so many people that we would otherwise never have the chance to cross paths with- like Reagan, Jake, and Piper Jane- and that is why our job is the FUNNEST! (I totally stole that word from Tina Fey)
